Thema: Suchmaschinen freundliche URls Fehler 404

Hi,

ich habe folgendes Problem:
sobald ich mod rewrite und suchmaschinenfreundliche urls aktiviere kommen bei allen Unterseiten der Fehler 404
Die Url steht im Browser richtig drin: www.xxx.de/impressum also ohne /index.php/
(htaccess.txt wurde in htacces umbenannt und bei RewriteBase mein unterverzeichnis im html ordner meines webspaces angegeben)
Kann mir einer einen Tipp geben, wie ich das Problem löse?

Der Kundenservice meinte, dass mod rewrite auf allen Servern aktiv wäre und ich die Regeln nur in die htaccess reinschreiben müsste......

ich wollte eben mal schaun im backend ob mod_rewrite gelistet ist unter "Hilfe->Systeminfo->PHP Informationen" unter Loaded Modules

Aber ich finde nicht :-( nicht einmal den Punkt Loaded Modules.
Wo finde ich den?

bin ich echt zu blöd des zu finden?
Bei mir gibt es nur: Additional Modules

klappt leider auch nicht mit:

OK...
klappt aber leider immer noch nicht.. :-(
verzweifel hier noch..
es kann auch nicht daran liege, dass mein unterverzeichnis, wo die page drin liegt 20 Zeichen lang ist mit "punkten und minusen", (kein leerzeichen)?

wenn ich in php informationen nach "module" suche, kommt auch nur dieses:
Additional Modules
aber keine Rubrik: Loaded Modules

muss man in die index.php auch noch das unterverzeichnis eintragen, in der die seite liegt?
